State of the Internet in SA

30 August, 2013 (11:36) | Community | By: Alan

Akamai publish quarterly reports and data visualisations of the state of the Internet. ISOC-ZA is proud that South Africa uses almost 7m IP addresses, and acknowledges the challenges that we confront with lower penetration rates than many other African countries with much smaller utilisation of address space. We note that we are of similar levels of usage to a much bigger internet population such as Australia (@ almost 8m IP addresses) and look forward to greater adoption of IPv6.
